**Florence Dore and Laura Cantrell** will be appearing in person at Rough Trade NYC, reading and playing songs on December 8th @ 6pm. They will also be signing store-purchased copies of Florence's new book *The Ink in the Grooves: Conversations on Literature and Rock n Roll* and album *Highways and Rocketships*. They will be joined by a very special guest to be announced soon. **Your ticket provides free entry to the event.** Performance + reading will begin promptly at 6pm, please arrive a few minutes early. - Please bring your smartphone with you to display the ticket on entry. - On arrival, the purchase of relevant items will be necessary in order for them to be signed. Professor by day and rock star by night, Florence Dore is a singer-songwriter and Professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She just released her second album, Highways and Rocketships (Propeller Sound Recordings), produced by Don Dixon and Mitch Easter, and published The Ink in the Grooves: Conversations on Literature and Rock n Roll (Cornell University Press). Laura Cantrell is a Nashville-born country music artist based in New York City with a long association with the UK country audience. Since 2000, she has toured extensively in the US, the United Kingdom, Europe and Ireland, and was a favorite of pioneering British disc jockey John Peel, who called her 2000 album “Not The Tremblin’ Kind” “my favorite record of the last ten years, possibly my life.” Presented by Rough Trade NYC. This is an all ages event.
