Zion is your presence in the community doing the compassionate work of Christ. Compassionate works are one of the cornerstones of Christian faith. Compassion is one thing, but compassionate works are quite another. Jesus tells us in 1 John 3:18: Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and truth. The kind of actions we do shows who we are and what we want to accomplish. When Jesus helped and healed people, it was far deeper than helping them recover from illness: He brought them back to membership in a community: a sense of belonging and feeling valued. We seek to do the same here at Zion.
