Venue Information

Valley Junction was the original downtown of West Des Moines, Iowa, and is now the city's only downtown. The area was settled in the 1840s and became a major rail junction in the 1850s. In the 1890s, businessmen bought 40 acres of land east of 8th Street and established a downtown area.
