Tropical Caribbean was founded in the year 2014 in New Haven to bring authentic Latin food from the Dominican Republic and create a menu combining Dominican Culinary Cuisine, with spices from around the world. It all started with Mom and Dad in the kitchen with their family recipes. Since its inception, Tropical Caribbean has relocated to a much larger venue in West Haven. In 2021, Tropical Caribbean was the first in the area with the idea to combine Dominican cuisine with elegance, and keeping real to the Dominican culture and traditions. I believe that our patrons selected Tropical Caribbean as the New Business of the Year because they appreciate the Cuisine we brought to west haven, the Caribbean atmosphere, along with great vibes and the decor and the fantastic service which takes you back to the islands.
