Live music venue The UC Theatre is a music venue on University Avenue near Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley, Berkeley, California, United States. From 1976 until 2001, it was a movie theater known for a revival house presentation of films. The UC Theatre is a 1,400 cap multi-tiered independent live music venue featuring national touring artists, and transformative youth education programs removing the barriers to entry into the music business for marginalized youth. We provide inclusive, diverse, and culturally rich music programming including; Tinariwen, Green Day, Run The Jewels, Natalia Laforcada, Clozee, Gojira, Steel Pulse, Kehlani, Mulatu Astatke, Common Kings, New Found Glory, Neko Case, Kolohe Kai, Ty Dolla Sign, SOB X RBE, Taj Mahal, Gogol Bordello, Lukas Graham, NOFX, Lord Huron, Joe Jackson, The Story So Far, Mom Jeans, Thee Sacred Souls, DMX, G Jones, The Ohsees, Social Distortion, Seputura, Willie Colon, Violent Femmes, & many more.
