Venue Information

Comfy haunt with pub grub, game broadcasts & live bands in a 19th-century building with a warm vibe.
You've heard the phrase, "If these walls could talk." When you come to the Crazy Horse and listen closely, they might have quite a yarn to weave. To visit Nevada City is to be immersed in one of California's most historical towns. This was the heart of the gold rush. Our building dates all the way back to 1862. The earliest available records are from 1885 when it was J.J. Jackson's Grocery. The heritage of an old western pioneer outpost is still palpable. The Crazy Horse Saloon & Grill was known as the Chief Crazy Horse Inn & Saloon when it first opened as a bar in the mid 60's. Many of our patrons get wide-eyed with nostalgia when they return to the place where they had so many memorable, and in some cases, forgettable, evenings.
