Non-profit organization in Troy, New York The John Paine Mansion, known as The Castle. Our Mission is to Renovate & preserve the architectural, historic, & civic value of the building more commonly known as 49 Second Street, Troy, NY 12180, currently registered with the New York State Historical Preservation registry, & to increase historical preservation awareness through educational programs open to the community. It is our goal to fundraise, & in turn fund projects that will allow for the restoration, renovation, & preservation of the historic structure. By doing so, this will also allow for continued public showcasing & programming of the Castle. Our organization, through varying iterations, has been caring for The Castle since 1932.
