Concert hall in Lubbock, Texas Located in: Panhandle South Plains Fairgrounds The first annual South Plains Fair was held in the fall of 1914, and has continued every year since, aside from the World War II years of 1942-1945. The modern day extravaganza bears little resemblance to the first Fair, but the goal of the Fair remains firmly intact: to strengthen community ties within our region and promote growth and prosperity throughout Lubbock and its surrounding communities.
