Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is a regional theatre in the United States. It was founded in 1959 by college student Gerald Covell and was one of the first regional theatres in the United States. A two-time, Tony Award-winning nonprofit regional theatre, the Playhouse tells stories that entertain, engage, inspire, challenge and connect our audiences. We produce 11 mainstage productions each season in our two theatres, as well as taking performances and arts education to schools and community centers across the region through our Off the Hill touring program.
