Venue Information

Opened in 1965, the Ice Garden hosts local sporting events (mainly hockey) and concerts. It also has banquet rooms and a restaurant, Murph's Pub. It was home to the Pittsburgh RiverRats indoor football team for one season (2007) as well as the Mon Valley Thunder of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (also 2007). It was also the training camp for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1970s. The arena is currently home to the Mon Valley Thunder youth hockey association, the Elizabeth Forward Warriors hockey team, and the Serra Catholic Eagles hockey team.
