The Rome Area History Center is open with free admission! When we learn about our local history and how it fits into the larger picture of our American history, we gain a better understanding of ourselves, other people and the world around us. At the Rome Area History Center, we invite you to discover our area history through our permanent collection, special exhibitions and events. Our museum is always free. Tours and group tours are priced separately and support the center's mission to preserve, interpret, and exhibit collections portraying the history of Rome and the surrounding area. For groups, please call ahead: 706-235-8051. Masks are required. The center also offers special spaces for meeting, gathering and celebrating.
