Mountain Music is an independent music shop and community performance space in the Piedmont area of Oakland, CA. We’re located just down the street from the iconic Mountain View Cemetery. Our predecessor, Acme House of Music, was also an indie music shop, owned and operated by Oakland locals for 40-plus years. Now shop proprietor, Adam Lipansky served as Acme’s Shop Manager and resident luthier for over a decade before fulfilling his dream of owning his own store, and purchasing it from the previous owners. We specialize in unique, rare and vintage gear, and offer string instrument, synth, pedal, turntable and amp repair and restoration. We also offer private music lessons for all ages! Come visit us!
