Arena in Mankato, Minnesota The Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center located in the heart of the City Center and owned and operated by the City of Mankato. Opened in 1995, the Mayo Clinic Event Center has established itself as one of the Midwest's premier centers for meetings, events, weddings, and entertainment. The 6,500 seat Arena is home to the Minnesota State University, Mankato Mavericks division one Men's and Women's hockey teams. In addition to the arena, there is a 2,200-seat flexible Grand Hall, a state-of-the-art Convention Center, over 70,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, and unique Reception and Banquet Halls. These remodels have given the Civic Center the flexibility to deliver any event imaginable.
