Established in 1996 as a non-profit organization, Marin Dance Theatre has become a nationally recognized school for the finest classical ballet and contemporary dance education. Our innovative training programs based on techniques developed over the last thirty years by our founding Artistic Director, Margaret Swarthout and School Director, Lynn Cox's have provided children ages 3-19 exceptional dance instruction in a nurturing environment. This dance education center is located in Marin County, in one of Northern Californiaï's most spectacular pastoral settings, an historical 170-year old Spanish-style mission located twenty minutes north of San Francisco. The St. Vincent Campus has enthralled visitors for years with its beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings. MDT is a ballet school unlike any other.
