Public library in Chicago, Illinois Friends of Independence Branch Library, Chicago, is a volunteer run non-profit, 501(c)3 founded in 1989. Its purpose is to raise funds and awareness for this branch. This is NOT an official CPL page. We're just here to help our new library thrive.
