Student dormitory in Amherst, Massachusetts Greenwich House is one of Hampshire's apartment-style housing areas, generally referred to as "mods." Greenwich mods are two-story apartments that mostly house students in their second, third, and fourth years. Every Greenwich mod houses four to seven residents, living in one double and two to five single rooms. Every mod contains a common living/dining room, a kitchen, and one to two bathrooms. In Greenwich, each mod also has its own small porch.
