Venue Information
Live music venue. The Howlin' Wolf has a long history as one of New Orleans' finest locally owned and operated venues. Named after the legendary bluesman Chester Burnett, New Orleans was introduced to the Howlin' Wolf in 1988, when it opened up in Fat City. After outgrowing its' space in a cotton warehouse, the venue relocated to what was previously the New Orleans Music Hall, in the Warehouse District. Right next door to the Howlin’ Wolf main room is The Den. The Den hosts a wide variety of events from concerts, to arts showcases, movie screenings, and comedy. Open for lunch and late night 7 days a week, the kitchen places an emphasis on local creole and pub food. Musical acts shine at this expansive, low-key concert hall with a mahogany bar & pub fare.
