The Okemah Community Improvement Association (CIA) purchased the Historic Crystal Theatre on May 11, 2010.
While many towns are losing their theaters, the CIA has taken the initiative to keep the Historic Crystal Theatre in good repair and reopened the theatre on April 20, 2012.
The Crystal also is home to many performers during the annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival in July.
The goal is to pay off the Crystal Theatre note as soon as possible then work on the improvements to continue to provide Okemah a quality theatre. To donate, mail to: Okemah CIA, P.O. Box 165, Okemah, OK 74859.

Movie Tickets are $5. Movie starts 7:30 p.m. all nights. Doors open at 7 p.m. Owned and Operated by the Okemah Community Improvement Association, a non-profit organization.
