On June 22, 2010, long time friends Kevin Toomajian and Jim Gruettner opened Marengo on Union in the Cow Hollow District of San Francisco. Five years later,    Marengo on the Alley makes its debut in the Financial District. Both locations offer a relaxed, yet sophisticated environment to enjoy delicious wines & whiskeys from all over the world, alongside a menu of fresh and perfectly paired ingredients.  The food at Marengo is inspired by Chef Rayna Toomajian and is American in spirit. We use local, organic and seasonal ingredients wherever possible with a few southern touches from her home town of Austin, Texas. The menus feature twenty-one gourmet sliders, large fresh salads and delicious appetizers. Our buns are baked fresh daily by Chestnut Bakery, our meat is sourced locally from Biagio Artisan Meats and all our dressings and sauces are made from scratch in-house.
