Performing arts theater in Fort Wayne, Indiana The Embassy Theatre (formerly the Emboyd Theatre) opened on May 14, 1928, as a movie palace and vaudeville house. The Emboyd came complete with a seven-story, 250-room Indiana Hotel that wrapped around the north & west sides of the theatre. Today the Embassy features national productions from Broadway, concerts of all musical formats, comedy, cinema & educational programming. The seven-story hotel was renovated and now includes multiple rental spaces including a multi-tier ballroom complete with a rooftop patio that overlooks the city skyline, the two-tiered Indiana Hotel Lobby & a learning center complete with multiple conference rooms. The Embassy is a non-profit organization and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
