The Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana aims to enrich, develop, and support the Chuck's cultural heritage by not only being a center of resources for local artists and cultural organizations but also by initiating local events such as Arts & Crabs Fest, Live @ the Lakefront music festival, and the Spring Art Walk. The Arts Council also seeks to provide funding to arts and cultural programs through the administration of four vital grant programs in the region: the Lake Charles Partnership grant program, Decentralized Arts Funding program, the Tourism Marketing Initiative grant program, and the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury grant program.
