Venue Information
Mexican restaurant Creative Mexican cantina with an art gallery upstairs & a performance space in the basement. Casa Mezcal opened in 2009 as the first Mezcaleria in NYC. It was founded by Ignacio Carballido, Restauranteur and Mezcalier and the famous Mexican painter Guillermo Olguín, who’s joint vision was to integrate art, music, traditional and modern Mexican cuisine and an extensive variety of mezcal and agave spirits from all around Mexico in one communal place. In 2021, the restaurant took a turn to adapt to new trends; chef/Restauranteur Florian Hugo and Mexican mixologist and designer Jacqueline Piccini were added to the family with the mission to put Casa Mezcal back on trend with updated cooking techniques and creative mixology while still preserving the authenticity of the Mexican culture it strives to promotes and represent.
